Massif is an architecture studio that combines a creative vision with practical expertise to search for new critical insights and solutions for complex spatial questions. We work on spatial projects across all scales from small to large: from custom furniture, interiors and renovations, to new construction and transformation projects. We're committed to delivering holistic solutions that not only fulfill your architectural needs but also contribute to a more sustainable future.
Our approach is characterized by creating strong concepts that form a common thread through all facets of the building, such as the sculpturality of the whole, the organization of the spaces and its materiality. Experimenting hands-on in our workshop space in the south of Amsterdam allows us a deep understanding of materials. Our practical expertise ensures that the common thread is also reflected in the manufacturability of the architecture: we design down to the smallest detail and do not shy away from devising innovative building systems.
Our studio is led by Aleksandar Tadic and Aukje Goossens. They hold degrees in architecture and structural engineering from the University of Technology in Eindhoven and possess over 9 years of invaluable experience gained at renowned architectural firms in Spain, the Netherlands and New York.
